OBLUE International presents
All-Electric Sightseeing Catamaran
The Vessel
The SEASIGHT 26 is the second battery-electric sightseeing vessel delivered to an Arctic expedition sightseeing operator — a 26.1-metre carbon fiber catamaran carrying 149 guests in silent, zero-emission comfort.
Delivered in 2023 and registered in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, the SEASIGHT 26 refines the design of its SEASIGHT sister ship with an inclined bow and a raised main deck — better seakeeping for open Arctic waters.

“Zero emissions, near silence —
the Arctic, up close.”
Design Highlights

Two 350 kW high-torque electric motors turn 1700 mm fixed-pitch propellers directly — no reduction gearbox, fewer moving parts, near-silent running.
Compared with its SEASIGHT sister ship, the SEASIGHT 26 moves from a straight to an inclined bow and raises the main deck — added freeboard and seakeeping for open Arctic water.
Battery-electric propulsion means no local emissions and minimal noise — closer to Svalbard's wildlife, lighter on its fragile environment.
A light, stiff carbon sandwich build with an 11.2 m beam — a stable, spacious sightseeing platform of just 292 GT.
On Board
Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows wrap two heated saloons in warm Scandinavian design — with a kiosk bar, an open rooftop deck and wheelchair access, year-round.

General Arrangement

Main deck: panoramic saloon with kiosk and accessible WC. Second deck: observation saloon with the wheelhouse forward. Above it all, an open rooftop deck.
In Service
Since 2023, the SEASIGHT 26 has carried expedition guests through the Svalbard archipelago — year-round, in heated panoramic saloons, from midnight sun to polar night.
