The OBLUE FERRY 35E is Hong Kong's first all-electric ferry — a 34.77-metre carbon fiber catamaran carrying 400 passengers on Victoria Harbour services for a Hong Kong ferry operator.

Delivered in 2024 for a Hong Kong ferry operator, she was designed for the 2.96-nautical-mile Hung Hom–North Point route — and named Best Large Ferry 2025 at the Baird Maritime Work Boat World awards.

Hong Kong's First Electric Ferry

Zero-emission, low-noise running across Victoria Harbour — a 3,870 kWh LFP battery covers a full 07:00–20:00 operating day and recharges overnight in six hours at dedicated jetties.

Best Large Ferry 2025

Named Best Large Ferry at Baird Maritime's Work Boat World 2025 awards — recognised for an innovative, eco-friendly design tailored to Victoria Harbour and Greater Bay Area routes.

Diagonal Azimuths, Double-Ended

Symmetrical bow and stern with the wheelhouse amidships and 360° visibility; diagonally arranged full-rotation thrusters turn the ferry on her own length and drive her sideways for tight berthing.

Modular Battery, Watched from Shore

Three battery groups per hull, each in four isolated clusters for fault tolerance; a 30 kW emergency generator backs up steering, communications and lighting; shore staff monitor the vessel's parameters in real time.
